Title: Perth Art, Design and Architecture: An Interdisciplinary Approach

Venue: Kamilė Gallery, State Buildings Perth City

Time: Midday - 2.00pm

Registration and tickets on eventbrite

Our panel speakers will provide examples and research from both Perth and overseas architecture, art and design projects, with a specific focus on how these approaches can be streamlined within the WA landscape. This event builds on our very successful Design Series Rooftop event held in October 2023 and addresses one of the key questions that arose during question time, namely the need for a more integrated approach between artists, designers and architects within the current Perth landscape.

Hosted by Kamilė Gallery within the historical State Buildings, we look forward to seeing you there.

Franca has an Honours degree in Art History from the University of Western Australia (UWA). Her dissertation examined the performative nature of Édouard Manet's work and the onset of modernity across influences such as architecture, philosophy, economics and society. Franca also has an extensive background in construction, planning and development - having worked for 15 years in the family's building company on both commercial and residential development projects; from planning and submission though to building and completion. Franca's background brings a refreshing and nuanced approach to our panel discussion.
